The client and I will meet to discuss the client’s expectations. At the initial meeting, various aspects of the portrait will be discussed, such as size, pose, type of clothing, background, and setting where the portrait will hang.
A complimentary photo shoot will be scheduled, at which time a series of photos will be taken and reviewed. Once a pose has been mutually agreed upon, a contract is signed and a deposit of 40% collected. I will begin work in my studio on a sketch that will be photographed and sent via email for approval. I will continue to keep the client informed as the painting progresses. Upon completion of the commission, and acceptance by the client, the portrait will be delivered or shipped. The balance on the commission is paid when the painting is accepted.
- Portraits are painted approximately life size.
- Each additional figure in the painting is 75% of the listed price.
- Expenses associated with travel, framing, shipping and packaging are additional.
- Posthumous Portraits are also available from existing photographs of the deceased.
